Pascal dominates Bute over 12

It was an exciting main event at the Bell Centre in Montreal, CA as Jean Pascal (29-2, 17 KO's) defeated Lucian Bute (31-2, 24 KO's) to retain the NABF Light Heavyweight championship. Pascal used his superior speed and boxing abilities to fluster a gun shy Bute the entire night. Bute had success at times however most of his moments were overshadowed by flurries from Pascal. Pascal was able to use his speed and lead right hand to frustrate Bute the entire night. While Bute was able to take big shots from Pascal, it seemed that the lingering effects of the Froch knockout haunted him the entire fight. Bute was afraid to go after Pascal and when he did he was often met with big counter shots. Scores were 117-110, 116-112, and 117-111.

In the Co-Main event, Mike Perez and Carlos Takam fought to a majority draw. Scores were 96-94 for Perez, and 95-95, 95-95.
