Walters pays Marriaga 40K

Nicholas Walters was forced to pay Miguel Marriaga $40,000 for failing to make weight for their scheduled bout last night at Madison Square Garden. Walters weighed in at 127.6, 1.6 lbs over the weight limit. He was given two hours to lose the weight however he was unable to shed the extra pounds. His second attempt came in at 127. Walters defeated Marriaga by unanimous decision.
