In the Co-Main event for the debut of PBC on ESPN, veteran fighter Willie Nelson pulled a shocking upset victory by knocking out previous undefeated and favorite Tony Harrison in the 9th round of their scheduled 10 round fight. Harrison was in control of the fight at the time of the knockout, winning most of the rounds leading up to the ninth with his aggressive hard punches. The fight started off fast with both guys looking to gain control of the fight. Harrison took over in the middle rounds and appeared to be on his way to a unanimous decision victory.
However, in the 9th round Nelson landed a huge right that dropped Harrison with less than 20 seconds left in the round. Harrison tried to get up, but faded to the corner as he did. The referee stopped the fight as Harrison could not regain his composure by the 10 count. Nelson improved to 24-2-1, 14 KO's. Harrison suffered the first defeat of his professional career falling to 21-1, 18 KO's.
