Ismael Barroso, currently ranked by the WBA at #2 in the lightweight division has nine consecutive knockouts since 2011. He has fought twice this year against Ira Terry & Issouf Kinda. Barroso started his pro boxing career in 2005 against Carlos Cardenas, the fight ended in a draw. He has another split draw on his record against Wilson Silva, 2010, scores: judges: Dr Ruben M Garcia 37-37, Victor Molina 38-37, Gustavo Padilla 36-37. Derry Mathews is coming off four consecutive wins. In his last outing in April of this year he fought Tony Luis winning by a 12 RD UD. Both fighters lost one point in the 8th round for fouls.The fight was for the interim WBA World lightweight title. This will be the first defense of his crown.
