Seanie Monaghan successfully defended his WBC Continental Americas light heavyweight title by defeating Donovan “Da bomb” George by a 10RD UD, scores: 100/90 100/90 99/91. The fight took place @ Aviator Sports Complex Brooklyn, New York, USA live on TruTV.
Monaghan methodically piled up round after round as he dominated the fight. Putting in a lot of workman like punching, Monaghan stood toe to toe with George pressing the fight and scoring to the head & body. Tough guy Donovan George show a lot of heart fighting thru a broken hand thru most of the fight. Donovan George, refused to let the ringside doctor stop the fight as he insisted he would not give up and fight on. Man thought George would not make it to the end of the fight after eating shot after shot & fighting with one hand. You could see the pain on his face as he continued to throw the broken hand & land. In the end Monaghan was to much and walked away with the W.
