HBO's television ratings for boxing continues to remain low since the Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown back in may. In 2014 each time HBO put on a boxing show is was guaranteed to do at least 1 million viewers. However, since the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight their number have dropped.
The Jennings-Ortiz fight brought in an average of 735,000 viewers on HBO Saturday night. The low number has been a norm for HBO lately. Before the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight HBO had 1.7 million viewers tune into Klitshcko-Jennings. The week after the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight HBO was able to draw in 2.2 million viewers for Canelo-Kirkland however the fight was preceded by the first non-PPV showing of Mayweather-Pacquiao. Hopefully HBO can turn the ratings around in 2016.
