Manny Pacquiao, Jeff Horn Make Weight For Battle of Brisbane

It's being billed as the biggest boxing event to ever take place in Australia, and by far the most significant fight to air live on ESPN in the 21st Century.

Following Friday's pre-fight win, it can now be declared as officially on as Manny Pacquiao and Jeff Horn both made weight for their welterweight title fight Saturday evening (Sunday morning locally) at SunCorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.

Pacquiao was his usual shredded self as he tipped the scales at 146 pounds for the first defense of his fourth tour as a welterweight titlist. Horn—a huge local crowd favorite fighting in his hometown but a massive underdog in the ring—came in at an announced 147 pounds, but struggled mightily to get to that point.

Their bout will air live in primetime on ESPN (9:00pm ET/6:00pm PT) in front of an estimated crowd of 55,000 paying patrons. The event marks the first career title shot for Horn (16-0-1, 11KOs)—whom proudly represented Australia in advancing to the quarterfinals as a light welterweight in the 2012 London Olympics—and the first-ever appearance Down Under for the legendary Pacquiao, a full-time Senator in his native Philippines who has won major titles and lineal championships in a record-setting eight weight classes over the course of an incredible career destined for the Hall of Fame.
