WBC super middleweight #4, ranked, David Benavidez, will be fighting to become the youngest super middleweight champion in boxing history when he faces NABF champion Gavril September 8th. The event will take place in Los Angeles, California, USA and is schedule for 12 rounds of boxing. Benavidez was originally scheduled to face former champ Anthony Dirrell until Dirrell was injured.
"I'm excited," said Benavidez. "My goal is always to knock a guy out. But even if it doesn't come, we'll look magnificent in the fight and I'll win that title."
David Benavidez, is coming off two knockout win in 2017 against Sherali Mamajonov & Rogelio Medina. He fought four times in 2016 scoring all wins by knockout. He sports a 90% knockout ratio with only one of his profession bout going to the score cards.
Ronald Gavril is on a seven consecutive winning streak since losing in 2015 to Elvin Ayala. He scores four straight knockouts in his last seven wins. He also have a good knockout ratio @ 74%.
This should be a good fight and someone is expected to hit the canvas.
