The highly anticipated rematch at 154 pounds is on this Saturday May 14th at Dignity Health Sports Park , Carson, California, USA. The fight will air live on Showtime boxing. The bout is set for the unified WBC, WBA and IBF World Champion at 154lbs. Their first fight ended in a controversial split-decision draw at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Tex. The card read as follows, Tim Cheatham 114-114 | Nelson Vazquez 117-111 | Steve Weisfeld 113-114. "The draw wasn't what I wanted to hear," Charlo told Jim Gray on Showtime. "If anything, I won this fight. I hurt him way more than he did." Castano countered , Basically, I won the fight. There are some rounds that he hit me hard but I won the fight."
TALE OF THE TAP
Both fighters have not fought since their first match. The fight was supposed to happen early this year however Castano, was forced to withdraw from the bout after suffering a partially torn right bicep in training camp. Each fighter had their moments and we expect that to happen again.
