CES Boxing is thrilled to announce a multi-fight promotional partnership with rising star Iman Lee, a standout amateur and promising talent in the Super Featherweight division hailing from Yonkers, New York. At just 24 years old, Lee boasts an impressive record of 9 wins, including 6 knockouts.
Promoter Jimmy Burchfield wasted no time in securing a fight date for Lee, who is set to showcase his skills this Saturday, May 11, at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino against the seasoned veteran Luis Porozo (17-9, 6 KOs). Lee's schedule remains active, with another bout scheduled for June 15 at Mohegan Sun Arena, pending a successful outing this weekend.
Porozo, a tough competitor from Ecuador, has faced off against numerous top prospects in the ring, showcasing his experience against formidable opponents like Bruce Carrington, Raymond Muratalla, and Henry Lebron. Although Porozo presents a significant challenge, Lee's extensive amateur background, which includes over 70 fights against elite competition, positions him well for success.
Boxing runs deep in the Lee family, with Iman's grandfather and father both having laced up gloves in the ring. Even his younger brother, Emanuel, briefly ventured into the professional ranks before pursuing a career in the Air Force. Under the guidance of his father, Joshua, Iman transitioned to the professional circuit in 2021 after nearly a decade of amateur experience, quickly making a name for himself with 9 fights in just 3 years.
Standing at 5'10", Lee possesses ample physical potential and envisions moving up in weight classes in the future, aiming as high as junior welterweight. His size and skill set are expected to pose significant challenges for Porozo come Saturday night.
