Chavez Jr vs Golovkin showdown inches closer

The highly anticipated match between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Gennady Golovkin is the closest it's ever been to being finished according to both sides. Last week it was reported that the fight was in jeopardy because Chavez Jr wasn't happy with the terms of Top Rank's contract extension that was included in the terms of the fight with Golovkin. Chavez Jr was given a new proposal by Top Rank that he appears to be very happy with. Chavez Jr told boxingscene.com that because everyone was on vacation nothing could be done about the fight until early next week. An announcement is expected next week as a result. The fight is scheduled to be on HBO PPV July 19th at The Forum in Los Angeles.
