Mauricio Herrera vs Hank Lundy July 11th

Golden Boy has officially announced the matchup between tough junior welterweight's Mauricio Herrera (27-5, 7 KO's) and Hank Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KO's). The fight will take place at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, CA on July 11th and will be shown on HBO latino. The fight will be for the vacant NABF junior welterweight title. Both fighter's are veteran's that have been in the ring with many of the top guys in their respective division.

Lundy gave Postol, Dulorme, and Beltran very tough fights over the last three years. He's ready to take on Herrera in a crossover battle that could lead to a bigger fight. Herrera had become a fan favorite over the last two years ever since he lost a controversial decision to Danny Garcia in early of 2014. Many had Herrera winning a very decisive decision. Herrera came back with a strong win against the tough Johan Perez only to be robbed again a few months later when taking on the undefeated favorite Jose Benavidez. Herrera has struggled to land big with the judges despite his convincing round by round victories over the top guys. The undercard has not been announced yet.
