Tureano Johnson: I'm frustrated

WBC Silver and WBA International Tureano Johnson (18-1, 13 KO's) made a splash in 2014 and in the early months of 2015. Johnson fought four times in 2014 and once in January of 2015 where he won the vacant WBC Silver and WBA International titles. His sole loss came at the hands of Curtis Stevens, a 10th Round TKO loss that many felt was not justified. Johnson gained a lot of fans that night but since then he has yet to step into the ring with a prime opponent in his division, and if you ask him, he's not happy about it.

"Up to #3 in WBA. But they just ranked a dead guy so not sure how to feel about this. All I know is no fight scheduled and I'm frustrated." Johnson tweeted voicing his frustration. Johnson has been trying to land a fight with any top guy in his division he can find, including that of the ever so feared Gennady Golovkin. Johnson was in line to face Gennady Golovkin alongside Willie Monroe earlier this year. Golovkin's team decided to go with Monroe because of his elusive southpaw style that was supposed to challenge GGG. Johnson could get that nod if Carl Froch decides not to fight Golovkin next. If not, a fight against Jorge Sebastian Heiland was supposed to be ordered next though nothing has been confirmed.
