Cotto-Canelo update

While no one has gone on record saying that a super fight between Miguel Cotto and Saul Canelo Alvarez is a done deal, it is all but assumed to be. Earlier today Oscar De La Hoya stated that there is big interest from three different places to hold the fight.

"Huge interest from Las Vegas, Texas and New York for Canelo versus Cotto." Oscar stated on Twitter.

Oscar also told the L.A Times that the Thomas and Mack Center in Vegas is making a big push to land the fight there. The tentative dates for a Cotto-Canelo showdown is said to be November 21st or November 28th. While Texas or New York would be the ideal places the fight could end up in Vegas. Texas would give Canelo a huge home crowd advantage while New York would favor Cotto. Either way it seems as though the fight is done, or almost done. There will be an explosion of joy when the fight is officially announced.
