WBO champion Floyd Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO's) has yet to advise the WBO of his plans to vacate or defend the WBO title. After Mayweather defeated Pacquiao on May 2nd, over two months ago, Floyd said that he was thinking of vacating all of his titles that following Monday though he never did. Floyd has been saying over the last two months that he still doesn't know what he plans on doing with the belts he has. The WBO secretary told Fightnews that he had until June 3rd at 4:30pm to advise the WBO of his plans. The WBO could strip Mayweather of the title on Monday.
Floyd currently holds the WBC and WBA welterweight titles as well. He has not announced which ones he will be defending for his next bout nor has he announced the opponent. The fight is scheduled to take place September 12th at the MGM Grand. Floyd has said that Andre Berto and Amir Khan are in the running to be his next opponent.
