Katsidis to fight for WBC title

Australian former world boxing champion Michael Katsidis will challenge undefeated Kaewfah Tor Buamas in China on September 12 for a WBC title. The two-time world lightweight champion will take on the undefeated Thai rising star over 10 rounds in Hangzhou.

"What a great sport boxing is," Michael Katsidis said with a grin. "It's given me so much and now once again I have an opportunity of a life time.

Kaewfah Tor Buamas is undefeated in 19 bouts, 13 by knockout and 12 of those have come within the first six rounds. Katsidis has four wins from his past nine for an overall career record of 31-7 with 24 by knockout.
