Results: Garcia stops Malignaggi in 9

Junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia won his welterweight debut by defeating Paulie Malignaggi by 9th round TKO Saturday night on PBC on ESPN.

Garcia dominated the fight from the start using his jab to dictate the pace he wanted. Malignaggi never got going as he spent most of the time backing up doing very little to counter Garcia. Malignaggi made Garcia miss a lot of his punches but was unable to make him pay for it. When Malignaggi did land he didn't have much effect. Garcia improved to 30-0, 17 KO's with the win.
