Sammy Vasquez battles Jose Lopez Sept 15th on FS1

Sammy “The Who Can Mexican” Vasquez (19-0, 13 KOs) will battle Jose “Piston” Lopez (25-3, 15 KOs) September 15th @ California University of PA, California, Pennsylvania. The fight will air live on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT as part the new PBC TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS. This is a schedule 10 rounds of boxing.

Sammy Vasquez recently won a 10-round unanimous decision against Wale Omotoso Sunday, June 21 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, scores: judges: Robert Hoyle 98-92, Patricia Morse Jarman 98-92, Dave Moretti 98-92. Vasquez currently undefeated sports a 68% ratio. He made is boxing debut in 2012 against Clifford Gregory winning by a second round TKO. Vasquez will be fighting in his hometown.

The last win for Lopez was the unanimous decision against Jonathan Duran Saturday, May 30 at the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City. He is coming off eight straight wins. His last lost was back in 2012 against Humberto Soto by UD. He also lost to Viktor Postol the same year, Postol is schedule to take on Lucas Matthysse in October.
