Julian Williams obliterates Cuello with 1st round TKO

Junior middleweight contender Julian Williams improved to 21-0-1, 13 KO's after destroying Luciano Cuello (35-4, 17 KOs). Williams scored a first round TKO victory. He first landed a straight right down the middle that got Cuello's attention fast. Shorty after he then landed a hook to the head that dazed Cuello sending him to the ropes. Williams jumped on Cuello with a barrage of punches now allowing Cuello to regain his composure. The referee stepped in at the one minute and a half mark to stop the fight.

After the fight, Williams stated that he was ready to jump to the top level of the junior middleweight division. "I may be the fastest super welterweight in the world, and I'm accurate enough to hit guys when I want to. I knew I was getting to him early and I just stayed vicious. It was a straight right that I landed on him to end things. I saw his left eye bubble up immediately. I've fought undefeated prospects and former champions. I'll fight anybody. I don't hate (Austin) Trout at all. He's just higher ranked than me and one of the guys in my way."

A fight with Austin Trout could be on deck. Both fighter's have expressed the interest to face each other and both are managed by the PBC.
