Klitschko-Fury television ratings

The heavyweight championship bout between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko drew in just over 1 million viewers on HBO Saturday afternoon. While the number seems lower than big fights on HBO, the fact that the fight was held at 5pm EST in competition with NCAA college football makes that number very impressive. HBO's numbers haven't been great since the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in May. Boxing television ratings all across the board have slowed since that fight. With HBO doing a major haul of their sports division this year hopefully the numbers can start to increase with not just better fights but more of them.
