Canelo's options include Rosado, Monroe Jr

Newly crowned middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez will be returning to the ring on May 7th likely in Las Vegas, NV. Two names that have been mentioned to be in the running are Gabriel Rosado and Willie Monroe Jr according to Mike Coppinger from the USA Today. Neither name is likely to be a hit with the fans but the fight is supposedly leading up to the true fights that fans want to see, a fight against Gennady Golovkin in September of next year.

Rosado is coming off a close decision victory over Joshua Clottey just a few weeks ago. Monroe hasn't fought since suffering a TKO loss to Gennady Golovkin back in May. Neither guy is likely to give Canelo any sort of trouble but gain, the big picture is a fight with Golovkin.
