Pound for pound Vasyl Lomachenko and two-time world title challenger Miguel Marriaga with battle this Saturday at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California USA. Lomachenko will be defending his World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior lightweight world title. The main event starts at 10pm ET on ESPN. Kicking things off will the Raymundo Beltran vs. Bryan Vasquez in a lightweight 10 round bout.

Lomachenko who started his professional boxing career in 2013 has already established an impressive pro resume with fighters like Nicholas Walters, Gary Russell Jr and Orlando Salido to name a few. We last seen Vasyl Lomachenko this past April when he stopped Jason Sosa within nine.

Miguel Marriaga is coming off a lost to Oscar Valdez in April. Marriaga was down in round 10 during the fight. This other lost was to Nicholas Walters in 2015 who lost to Lomachenko by TKO. Marriaga does sport a 78% knockout ratio within his 27 bouts.

It seems that every time Miguel Marriaga steps up to the A level fighters he gets beat. Lomachenko is not just an A level fighter he is an elite A level. Honeslty this fighter is to showcase Lomachenko to the general public. The fight is free on ESPN and what the promoters are hoping for here is to grab the mainstream sports fan attention.
