Keyshawn Davis out of March 19 fight

'The Businessman' will have to wait a little longer to make some dough.

Keyshawn Davis was set to compete for the first time since December against Texas-based Mexican Esteban Sanchez (18-1, 8 KOs) on March 19 at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater in New York.

However, the 23-year-old and future star, has come down with a non-COVID-19-related illness, and has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled eight-round contest. The bout would have been the first eight-rounder for Davis, who picked up an Olympic silver medal a year ago.

ESPN was first to report the revelation.

The event will move on without him. Brooklyn-born super middleweight Edgar “The Chosen One” Berlanga (18-0, 16 KOs) will face Steve Rolls (21-1, 12 KOs) in the 10-round main event.

In the junior middleweight chief support, 19-year-old Xander Zayas (12-0, 9 KOs) will box in his first scheduled eight-rounder against Quincy “Chico” LaVallais (12-2-1, 7 KOs).
