Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia weigh-in results

LAS VEGAS – Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are through part one of weigh-in frenzy.

Both fighters came in below their catch weight of 136 pounds Friday afternoon for their 12-round bout Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Baltimore’s Davis, a -230 favorite at Caesars Sportsbook, turned in an official weight of 135, whereas Garcia came in slightly higher at 135½ pounds.

Davis and Garcia traded words on stage until Davis lightly pushed Garcia and they were immediate separated.

Now both boxers must complete part two of their agreed-upon stipulations. Davis and Garcia must come in at 146 pounds or less at a second-day weigh-in scheduled for 11 a.m. PDT Saturday morning. Unlike their weigh-in Friday, which drew a decent crowd at Toshiba Plaza outside of T-Mobile Arena, their second weigh-in won't be open to the public. Both fighters can add as much as weight as they want from the time their second weigh-in ends until they enter the ring.

The unbeaten Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs), 24, of Victorville, California, officially weighed 140 pounds for his last fight, a sixth-round knockout of former secondary junior lightweight titleholder Javier Fortuna last July 16 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The 28-year-old Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) has fought as high as 140 pounds. He knocked out former secondary junior welterweight champ Mario Barrios in the 11th round of their June 2021 bout at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

The official weights for the Davis-Garcia undercard bouts are listed below.
